Clear away furniture to ensure adequate workout space. The corner of your coffee table can be painful, and your ceiling fan may prohibit you from reaching fully overhead. Tie your hair back, put on appropriate boots, and secure your mat. A light yoga class in your PJs is OK, but more strong flows can cause your mat to slide and, as a result, damage.

Don’t start an exercise too late, having missed the warm-up. The same is true for cool-down – keep concentrated until the conclusion. A workout is like a rollercoaster ride, and you wouldn’t go on or off one that was moving.
